New City Church Shawnee is a Spirit filled, disciple making, church planting church. New City was planted by Matt and Jenn Miller in January of 2012. Since that time, New City Church has started three additional churches: New City Edgerton, New City Merriam, and New City Loma Vista.
From day one, New City has built a reputation as a church that serves. Here are a few of the ways New City serves our local communities: We currently partner with three local schools, we provide community events to our local neighborhoods and apartment complexes, we gift our facility two times a month to the Shawnee Mission School District and Project HOME, and we are the proud primary sponsor of Old Shawnee Days!
New City Shawnee currently offers two Sunday morning worship times: 9:00AM and 10:30AM. Our worship services are designed for you to connect with God through worship and teaching. Our worship is led by Curtis Biswell and Matt Miller is our primary teaching pastor.
Family is a primary focus for New City Church. For this reason we have designed two specific ministries just for kids: Kid City (Babies - 5th Grade) and Student City (6th - 12th Grades). In Kid City, we provide a safe and fun experience, designed to inspire your child to trust in and live like Jesus. Kid City is open during both worship times. All children, birth to 5th grade, are checked-in to Kid City by their parent(s). The check-in process is quick and easy, and you’re given a secure code where only you, the parent, can pick them up. All staff and volunteers have completed a thorough background check prior to serving in Kid City. For more information please contact email@example.com
We provide two meeting times for Student City. Middle School (6-8 Grades) gather on Sunday mornings at 10:30AM. High School (9-12 Grades) meet on Sunday evenings at 5:30PM. Both of these gatherings are staffed with great adults and our Student City Pastor, by Adam Freeman. For more information please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
