Today I want to share with you some scriptures from the Old Testament that deal with faith. As you read them I want you to ask yourself, "What was Joshua's faith to be based on?"

The texts are:
Deuteronomy 31:1-8
Joshua 1:1-9

Did you discover the source of Joshua's faith? Notice it wasn't wishful thinking or a personal desire but rather the promises of God. So, let us use this as our bases for prayer today, "Is your faith based upon anything other than God's promises that are found in scripture?"

Let's go to the Lord in prayer and talk to him about our faith.

Wow! - Brag on God.
Now... - Tell God what you have faith in.
How? - Stop talking and look to His Word to see if your faith is a promise he has made to you.
