Jesus changes us! This fall, students in 6th–12th grade are invited to step away from the noise and experience a weekend focused on the life-changing power of Jesus. Through worship, teaching, small groups, and meaningful time together, we’ll discover what happens when we truly encounter Jesus—and how He changes the way we think, live, and love.
Join us for our Men’s Breakfast—a morning to connect with other men, enjoy a great breakfast, and be encouraged in your walk with Jesus. Whether you’re new to New City or have been around for a while, this is a great opportunity to build relationships, grow together, and start the day with good food and meaningful conversation.
Bring the whole family and join us for a fun-filled Fall Festival where there’s something for everyone! Enjoy a Worship service, Trunk or Treat, delicious food, bounce houses, games, and plenty of opportunities to make great memories together. Whether you’re new to our church or have been part of our community for years, you’re invited—and we’d love to have you join us! Come enjoy a safe, fun afternoon with your family and neighbors as we celebrate the season together.

Ladies, join us for a sweet afternoon of coffee, fellowship, and serving together!
We’ll gather at Grounded Sole Coffee Shop to enjoy a treat, connect with one another, and put our hands to work serving members of our community who are in need. Together, we’ll assemble food bags using donated nonperishable items to bless local families.
Bring a friend, bring your favorite coffee-loving (or other yummy beverage) self, and if you’re able, bring a few nonperishable food items to contribute. See the list below of suggested items to bring!

Suggested food items: foil pouches of tuna or chicken, beef jerky or meat sticks, Vienna sausages with pop-top lids, peanut butter or cheese cracker sandwiches, nut butter individual cups, applesauce or fruit puree pouches, single-serve fruit cups, pudding or gelatin cups, soft granola bars (avoid heavy chocolate that melts), trail mix, raisins, or dried fruit
We’re excited to partner with our local elementary school for their annual Trunk-or-Treat and serve more than 300 local families! Our team will provide and serve hot dogs, chips, and drinks to families attending the event. We’ll also decorate and host two trunks, hand out candy, connect with families, and invite our neighbors to our Friendsgiving Meal in November. This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to serve our community, meet local families, and help us build meaningful relationships with our neighbors. Volunteers will be needed to help with food preparation and serving, decorating and running the trunks, handing out candy, greeting families, and distributing Friendsgiving invitations. Come help us show our community that we’re glad to be here—and that we want our city to be better because we’re in it!
Come hang out with the Young Adults for a Halloween backyard bonfire & movie night! We’ll have the bonfire going, a big projector screen rolling a spooky classic, and plenty of time to relax and connect with friends. Grab your favorite people and come enjoy a laid-back night under the stars! Make sure you bring a lawn chair or blanket - we will provide burgers, hot dogs, & s'mores!
Your weekend starts here! Men, trade the weekend rush for a casual, caffeine-fueled start at Grounded Sole Coffeehouse. This is fellowship designed simply for guys to connect. A light breakfast will be provided and waiting for you. Just buy your own cup of coffee. Don't miss it!
Help us reach our neighbors by turning our driveways into places of connection and generosity! This Halloween, families from New City will open their driveways throughout our community to serve free hot dogs, chips, and full-size candy bars to neighbors as they are out trick-or-treating.
There are several ways you can be part of the night. You can host a driveway, partner with another family, help cook and serve hot dogs, or donate full-size candy bars to help stock our host locations. You don’t have to do it alone grab another family or a few friends and serve together!
This outreach is for anyone who wants to help us love our neighbors, build relationships, and show our community that we are grateful to be part of it. No special skills are needed just a willingness to serve and connect with people.
The food and supplies will be coordinated among our participating teams. Families are welcome to serve together.
Registration is required so we can coordinate host driveways, volunteers, food, and candy. Sign up for the area where you would like to help, and we’ll provide additional details as the event gets closer.
Let’s make the most of a night when our neighbors are already coming to our doors and use it as an opportunity to serve, connect, and make our city better because we are in it!
It’s that time of year again! As the colder months approach, we’re coming together to help keep our neighbors warm through our Tree of Blessings.
Beginning November 1st, we will be collecting new winter and cold-weather items to donate to REAP (Raytown Emergency Assistance Program), a local nonprofit organization that provides assistance to individuals and families living within the Raytown School District boundaries who are experiencing financial hardship.
We invite you to help us bless our community by donating new winter items such as:
• Winter hats and beanies
• Scarves
• Gloves and mittens
• Warm socks
• Blankets and throws
• Hand warmers
• Earmuffs
• Winter coats and jackets
• Hoodies and sweatshirts
• Thermal shirts and pants
Please bring your donations between November 1st and November 29th. All collected items will be donated to REAP to help individuals and families in our community stay warm this winter.

Starting Point is an opportunity to learn more about New City Bonner Springs and discover how you can get connected and involved in the life of our church. You will hear about our mission, vision, values, and next steps while also learning about opportunities to join a group, serve on a team, and become part of the community at New City.
Whether you are new to the church or ready to take your next step, Starting Point is the best place to begin. Food and childcare will be provided with pre registration.

Help us light up Emerson Park for Christmas! We’re partnering with the Argentine Betterment Corporation to prepare the park for the community tree lighting—and we need volunteers on Nov. 5 to decorate. Let’s make this a joyful celebration of Jesus’ birth!

This year we are joining Samaritan’s Purse to send out gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to children in need around the world together with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The goal of this project is to teach our kids about the joy of giving to boys and girls in need, from ages 2 to 14.
You can help us get started by donating shoeboxes and items such as small toys, school supplies, personal care items, clothing, accessories, crafts, books, etc. These can be dropped in the donation bins in the lobby and Kid City check-in area starting on our Operation Christmas Child’s kickoff September 20. We will have shoebox packing parties on November 8 and 15.
What a great way to start a Christmas tradition that emphasizes giving and sharing the love of Jesus! The Lord says, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)
Join us for our Annual Church Thanksgiving Lunch immediately following service! We will provide a delicious Thanksgiving meal and ask each family to bring a dessert or drinks to share.
Please RSVP so we can prepare enough food for everyone. We look forward to enjoying a wonderful time of food, fellowship, and thanksgiving together!
It’s Chili Cook-Off time! Break out your favorite recipe, bring your best pot of chili, and see how it stacks up against the competition.
Whether your chili is spicy, sweet, smoky, traditional, or completely original, we want you to enter! Two champions will be crowned:
People’s Choice Winner — selected by everyone who comes to taste and vote
Judges’ Choice Winner — selected by our panel of judges
Not ready to compete? Come hungry, sample the entries, vote for your favorite, and enjoy a great time with our church family. This is the perfect event to invite friends, neighbors, and coworkers to join you!
If you would like to enter your chili in the competition, please sign up in advance so we can prepare a space for you.
Bring your best chili, your appetite, and your vote. We can’t wait to see who takes home the titles!
Ladies, join us for a thanksgiving themed potluck! After dinner, we'll learn more about financial stewardship as Cate Jenks teaches concepts from the book "Redeeming Money," as we head toward our SEEK offering later in November. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. We will provide roasted chicken for the entree. All women high school age and up are welcome to attend. Childcare will be provided with registration. Join us for Baby Dedication as we celebrate families who are committing to raise their children to know, love, and follow Jesus. This is a special opportunity for parents to publicly dedicate themselves to pointing their child toward Jesus while our church family commits to pray for and support them along the way.

At New City Church, we believe that baptism is an outward sign of an inward decision to follow Jesus. Every third Sunday of the month, we will provide an opportunity for you to participate in this Christ- following proclamation! Register for more information!
Baptism is a beautiful next step in your walk with Jesus and a public declaration of your faith. We are so excited to celebrate with everyone who has made the decision to be baptized. Whether this is your first step of obedience or a moment to share what God has done in your life, we would love for you to be part of this special event.
Invite your family and friends to come celebrate with you as we witness lives being changed for God’s glory.

Hey Parents! We will be hosting a Parents’ Night Out here at Raytown from 6:00 to 8:30 PM on Friday, December 4. This would be a great opportunity for you to have a special date night or shopping spree before Christmas, or just spend a quiet night at home together. We will provide a light dinner for the kids and a safe place to engage them with some fun games and crafts.
