Did you even notice it? You probably read it too fast. Read this scripture again. Did you catch it this time.

"...and had them beaten..."

We read this too fast. Let me help you better understand what happened. Beaten = 39 lashes with a whip. I promise you, that wasn't fast.

So...what type of persecution are you upset about? Be cheerful when others hate you because of Jesus...You are in great company.
