Being wired up as a teacher, I am forced to ask the question “What do they need?” instead of "What do I want to tell them!”

In order to this, I have to do my research to understand what is going through the minds of the people I am talking to. Understanding this, then allows me to speak into the thought process, and either affirm or challenge it. Several months ago I came across this article and honestly, being a shepherd, it broke my heart. I chose not to teach on it then as I believe discipleship is the only thing that can change it.
