Join us for a powerful TWO day Women’s Conference designed to encourage, equip, and anchor your faith in every season of life. This gathering is for women ages 18 and up who desire deeper connection, spiritual renewal, and meaningful fellowship with other women of faith.
Ladies, join us for a beautiful morning of brunch and fellowship as we gather to bless the residents of Eden Village. Together, we’ll create custom welcome mats and floral bouquets to gift to the residents — and you’ll design a bouquet to take home as well. Come enjoy meaningful conversation, creativity, and a chance to serve together.
Please bring a brunch item to share. Drinks will be provided. For women 18 years and older.

5th graders will be checking out what it will be like to be in middle school services. On the first Sunday of January, February, March, April, and May - 5th grade students will come upstairs after check in to worship and hang with the leaders and students of 6th-8th grade. Middle school service is only offered during second service so if you attend first on those Sundays, students will be in their normal class downstairs. Our hope is to make this transition for them as natural and smooth for them as possible before our official Move-Up Day on May 31!

Join Kid City for a special family serving event — Seeds of Kindness! Families are invited to come together and share God’s love with the residents of our local assisted living facility. Together, we’ll brighten someone’s day by delivering a sweet treat, a handmade card, and a beautiful flower to each resident.
This hour of service is a wonderful opportunity to teach our kids the joy of compassion and kindness in action. Families will have the chance to visit with residents, pray with them, and shower them with love and encouragement — planting seeds of hope that will continue to grow long after our time together.
Let’s serve side by side and spread the light of Jesus through simple acts of love! Bring your smiles, warm hearts, and willing hands — we can’t wait to serve with you!
Young Adults! We have an opportunity to show up in a meaningful way for children in foster care. Joy Run is happening on May 9th, and it’s more than a mud run — it’s a celebration of foster families and a way to bring awareness to the needs of children in foster care in our community. We’d love for you to join us in serving Joy Meadows by volunteering. They need help with set up, registrations, and anything else! Please register by April 12th, so I can give them a head count on our group.

Child and baby dedication is a special time for parents to publicly commit to raising their child to know and follow Jesus, while our church family commits to supporting and encouraging them along the way. If you have a new baby to dedicate, or haven't dedicated your children in the past, we'd love to take part in this with you this Mother's Day.
We will have a family breakfast before service, and dedication will take place during service. Detailed communication will be sent after registration.
Please register before May 3, so we can plan accordingly.
Ladies, come play Bunco with us, and make church friends! If you've never played, we will teach you - you'll catch on! Invite a friend, and enjoy chatting with many different women through the night. Hey Graduating Seniors and Parents! Sunday May 17th we want to celebrate with you! Student Ministry team will be hosting a brunch at 12:15pm-2pm for graduates and close family! We want to take time and encourage our graduates, pray over them, and celebrate this huge accomplishment! For food and set up please register if you plan to attend!
Students join us for our annual all campus student gathering May 27th @ 6pm! We will take time to eat food, worship together, and then have breakouts over different topics! The breakouts will be a time for you hear content on a specific topic and discuss how it applies to your life. We will finish around 830pm but you are welcome to hang out till 9pm!
Please join us as we walk a 2-mile route to raise support for Two Lines Pregnancy Clinic and to help the women and families we serve.
Walk for Life is one of our largest fundraisers, and the money raised enables us to keep our mission alive, encouraging women, men, and families facing an unplanned pregnancy to choose life by serving them before, during, and after with Christ-like compassion. We rely solely on the generosity of our community to continue helping families.
Our goal is to have 1,000 walkers raise $200,000 and we cannot achieve this without you!
Check in and children's activities begin at 8:00 am and the program and walk begin at 8:30 am.
There will be entertainment and activities for the kids, and afterwards you can expect food, games, and prizes! We will Walk for Life rain or shine!
Our kiddos are always growing, their needs are ever-changing, yet our money only stretches so far. We have collected gently used clothes, toys, books, and parent supplies (ie high chair, Bumbo seat, things we need for the kids that don't fit the other categories), and now it's your turn to come shop for free! Sizes will range from babies to teens, so come see what you can find!
Bring your bags, come when you can, take what you need, and leave feeling more prepared for the next growing season of your child(ren).

Baby Dedication is a special moment where parents publicly commit to raising their child in a Christ-centered home. It’s a time for families to dedicate their child to the Lord and for the church to come alongside them in prayer, encouragement and support as they guide their child in faith. Please register if you would like your child to participate in the dedication.
Fifth grade student's official move up day! On May 31st, the 5th grade students will begin attending the Middle School Sunday service every Sunday. Middle School service takes place during 10:45 AM service in the student room. This is a big and exciting step, and we can’t wait to welcome them as they continue growing in their faith and community.
On the 5th Sunday of the month, families are invited to stay after church for a relaxed and fun time together! This special children’s ministry event is a chance to connect with other families and teachers while enjoying simple, joyful activities with your kids. Drop in and choose what works for your family—play games, make crafts, watch a kid-friendly movie, or enjoy some treats together. There’s no pressure or schedule, just a welcoming space to build relationships, laugh, and spend meaningful time as a church family. All Kid City families are welcome!

We are providing food for the Edgerton block party. This is a good opportunity for us to serve our community.
Join us for Church on the MAINSTAGE at Old Shawnee Days. Old Shawnee Days is a 4 day festival full of bands, carnival rides, food trucks and tents, and more! We love being in our city and making it better, and we are blessed with this opportunity to have a service in our community on June 7 at 10:30 AM.
Come support our Cheese Fries tent Friday-Sunday as you and friends or family enjoy a day at the festival!
We are so excited to do Sports Camp from June 8th - 10th 2026 at New City Olathe for FREE! We are offering cheerleading, basketball, flag football, and soccer workshops from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Your child will love hanging out with our leaders going through sport drills and hearing about Jesus.
Ladies, join us for a beautiful evening in the garden, hosted by Sherri Thomas. We will have a devotion, delicious food, and you’ll be able to build your own bouquet to take home! Invite a friend, and bring a lawn chair if possible. Please note, this event is off campus, and will not have childcare available.
Get ready for an unforgettable adventure at Kingdom Quest VBS - where kids will discover their purpose, grow in their faith, and learn to follow Jesus in a fun and engaging way! Through exciting games, worship, bible stories, and hands-on activities, they’ll experience how to love God and love others every day.
As we wrap up our Sports Camp, we want to invite you to celebrate with us in the community with a BLOCK PARTY. We will have lots of food, rides, games, and inflatables for some summer fun!

Students join us this year as we travel to St. Louis, Missouri to Redemption Ranch Camp! Students who have completed 6th grade – 12th grade are welcome on this trip. At camp there will be worship, teaching, quiet time, and free time during the day. The focus for you student is to get away, have fun, and spend time growing in your personal relationship with Jesus!
The City of Shawnee puts on an event with food trucks, live music, bounce houses, yard games, vendors, activities for kids, AND fireworks at the end of the night called PARKED. We get to partner with them by sponsoring the bounce houses and yard games area and running that for the event. Bounce houses and yard games will run until 8:00pm weather permitting and then will be taken down so we can all enjoy the fireworks together.
This event is great to come out too, hang out with our neighbors, engage in meaningful conversations, and invite them to New City Church if they don't yet have a church home.

Student 6-12th grades join us for a pool party! We will gather at a neighborhood pool to play pool games, swim, or just chill poolside. Bring a snack to share. Drinks will be provided. Don't forget to register and bring someone along.
We are sending 8 people to camp this year and would love your support in helping them get there. All donations will go straight to the students going to camp to help offset their registration. The students will serve pancakes and drinks from 9 AM - 10 AM before service begins. Please come and support this group and share with family and friends!

This summer gathering embraces relaxed, casual hospitality. Participants will learn how to host a simple backyard-style supper that feels abundant without being overwhelming.
The focus is on preparing one main dish and a few simple sides that can feed a group without anxiety or over-preparation. The tone of the evening will be warm, relaxed, and encouraging.
This event emphasizes that biblical hospitality flows from peace, not perfection.

There is often a lot of uncertainty following graduation. One thing we want to clear up is what ministry opportunities are on the horizon for the students. We want to connect high school juniors & seniors to some of the YA leaders. We also want to let the juniors & seniors know what is available to them this summer.
This Parent and Student Brunch is a meaningful time for parents and students to gather, share a meal and grow together in faith. This brunch is designed to strengthen family bonds, encourage open communication by building trust, and provide faith centered guidance through intentional conversations and reflection.
Through guided topics, prayers, testimonies and fellowship; families will be encouraged to apply Christian values in everyday life while nurturing spiritual growth as a family.
Your weekend starts here! Men, trade the weekend rush for a casual, caffeine-fueled start at Grounded Sole Coffeehouse. This is fellowship designed simply for guys to connect. A light breakfast will be provided and waiting for you. Just buy your own cup of coffee. Don't miss it!

Celebrate Recovery is turning 2 — and you’re invited to celebrate with us!
For the past two years, Celebrate Recovery has been a place where real people have found healing from real hurts, habits, and hang-ups. This anniversary night is all about celebrating the powerful work God has been doing in our church family.
Even if you’ve never attended Celebrate Recovery before, this is a great night to come show your support and encouragement. You don’t have to be “in recovery” to attend — this is a night to celebrate courage, freedom, and lives being changed.

Father and sons of Student City join the group for a time of Laser Tag at Jaegers! We will leave at Shawnee at 430pm to get out there and play Laser Tag at 5pm! After that we will go eat together! Laser Tag is on New City, dinner after will be covered by you. Please register so we can make sure to have everyone covered for the Laser Tag that evening! Can't wait to see you there!

Shawnee Women’s Event: A Table in Every Season is a three-part women’s gathering series centered on biblical hospitality, practical cooking skills, and spiritual reflection. Each event corresponds with a season—spring, summer, and fall—highlighting how God cultivates, sustains, and brings harvest in our lives.
Each evening includes hands-on food preparation, practical teaching, devotional reflection, and shared fellowship.

Students and families join us as we go and engage our city! We will be helping Harvesters on Saturday, April 18th from 1015am-1230pm. We will be sorting fresh produce, sorting and boxing bread, packing senior commodity food boxes, sorting nonperishable food drive donations. We will meet there, if you are in need of a ride, please make sure to let us know in your registration.

- Liability waiver filled out
- Closed toed shoes
- Dress with layers, it may be cold
- Carpool if you can! Parking is limited
- A good attitude!
Ladies, you’re invited! Join the women of New City Church Raytown for a relaxed morning of fellowship, encouragement, and genuine conversation. There’s no agenda just a sweet time to connect, breathe, share and be poured into as we focus on our theme: Seasoned with Grace. Bring a friend!
Ladies, join us for a fun night learning to paint using acrylics! New City's own artist, Lane Downey, will be instructing us as we each paint our own canvas to take home. All art supplies will be provided, along with snacks for the evening. Please register so we can have adequate supplies.

Are you currently serving or would like to serve on a ministry team? Gather with the ministry team and leaders for lunch, encouragement, and to grow in your leadership ability. Childcare is provided.
5th graders will be checking out what it will be like to be in middle school services. On the first Sunday of January, February, March, April, and May - 5th grade students will come upstairs after check in to worship and hang with the leaders and students of 6th-8th grade. Middle school service is only offered during second service so if you attend first on those Sundays, students will be in their normal class downstairs. Our hope is to make this transition for them as natural and smooth for them as possible before our official Move-Up Day on May 31!
We are celebrating 7 years of God’s faithfulness and would love for you to join us. This special service is the perfect opportunity to invite your family and friends to celebrate with us as we reflect, worship, and give thanks for all God has done. Ever wanted to know what it was like to play with a team? Are you intrigued by the possibility of learning a new skill? Come join in with a fun beginner level jam session. The worship team will be here for a fun and interactive jam session. All are welcome and invited to participate!
Shawnee students join us for a movie night April 8th, the Wednesday following Easter in the sanctuary! We will be watching "Paul, Apostle of Christ" from 6pm-830pm. We will have soda and popcorn but feel free to bring your favorite snacks/candy! Please register to make sure we have enough popcorn and drinks!
Come join the fun with Kid City West Olathe as we have our Easter Egg Hunt extravaganza! We will host the fun directly after service outside if weather permitting, or in the gym. Open for kids 0-5th grade and any guest you would like to bring.

Hey kids! Join us for a fun and meaningful Easter celebration in Kid City during the service on Resurrection Sunday. Our teachers will share the resurrection story of Jesus, reminding the children that Easter is more than bunnies and candy; it is about, hope, love, and the risen Savior. The children will go on the hunt with their own age groups to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Kids are encouraged to bring their own baskets or bags for collecting the eggs during the hunt.
How You Can Help:
Prior to Easter, containers will be available for anyone who would like to donate individually wrapped candy and plastic eggs. Thank you for helping us bless our Kid City families and make this event special for the children!

Join us for an egg hunt for kids up to 5th grade followed by light refreshments!
We gather for Good Friday to remember the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He took our sins upon him and wiped them clean forever. This service is a reflective, worshipful service where we give thanks to God for his sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
