Don’t miss out on Winter Jam 2026 at the T-Mobile Center on Saturday, January 31, 2026! Featured artists such as Matthew West, Katy Nichole, Hulvey and more will be performing live on stage. Tickets are $15 at the door and it's cash only. Food and merch at the event can be purchased with card.
We will meet at the Shawnee campus and be leaving at 3:00 PM. Make sure to register by January 25 so that you are guaranteed a ride to and from the event.
5th graders will be checking out what it will be like to be in middle school services. On the first Sunday of January, February, March, April, and May - 5th grade students will come upstairs after check in to worship and hang with the leaders and students of 6th-8th grade. Middle school service is only offered during second service so if you attend first on those Sundays, students will be in their normal class downstairs. Our hope is to make this transition for them as natural and smooth for them as possible before our official Move-Up Day on May 31!

A Step Study isn’t just another group. It’s a slow, steady journey where God rebuilds you from the inside out. At this interest meeting, we’ll unpack what the group looks like, why it works, and what kind of commitment it takes. You’ll also hear short stories from people who once felt stuck but now walk in freedom because of this process. This is for anyone ready for healing, hope, or a fresh start.

Ladies, come join us as we learn how to better "Love Our Neighbors." Veneita Taulbee, who works with homeless people around the KC metro, will be sharing with us about homelessness, and how we can help. We will be assembling bags of supplies that can be given to the homeless.
Also, we will be collecting donations for Uplift, a local ministry to the homeless in Kansas City. They are in need of gently used (or new) coats, gloves, hats, blankets/sleeping bags, sweatshirts, long johns, socks, toiletries, and tents. They can use anything that would be worthy of taking on a camping trip! They urgently need men’s jeans or pants waist sizes 30-36, tennis shoes, and men's or women’s underwear. So clean out your closets and bring any donations with you to this event.
All women high-school-aged and up are welcome to attend. Please register for childcare by Friday, February 6th. Contact Heather Snow at 913-271-3425 with any questions, or if you have a large amount of items to donate.

Ladies, we will be focusing on prayer this month! We will have supplies for you to make a small prayer board or prayer jar to take home with you. (If you'd like to bring your own board or jar to craft with, feel free!) We will provide snacks, and hear from some New City women about prayer, and celebrate answers to prayer! If you have a story you'd like to share about the power of prayer, please reach out to Heather Snow at 913-271-3425, or come ready to share your story with the group. It’s almost time for City Group Kickoff!! Start off the New Year right by finding your City Group on Sunday, January 11, 2026!!
Join us in the Shawnee Gym at 10:00 AM after first service and 12:00 PM after second service to find your new City Group.
On Sunday, January 11th, you’ll have the opportunity to find your City Group. At New City Shawnee, City Groups are small group Bible studies designed for you to find community and grow your faith. No matter where you are in your walk with Jesus, there’s a group for you.

Join us for our 5th annual Christmas Movie Night! Wear your best Christmas outfit and invite a friend! We will watch a Christmas movie, enjoy snacks and hot drinks, and have a mug exchange. If you’d like to participate in the mug exchange, bring a mug stuffed with any kind of goodies. All ladies high school age and up are welcome to attend.

Come jam into Christmas with Kid City! We are ready to celebrate Jesus with all of our friends from 3 years old up to 5th grade. Families are welcome to attend and celebrate with us. This will be an evening full of music, pizza, games, art projects, and more all leading back to the most precious gift of the season, our Lord Jesus Christ. Please register to attend. Parents join us for an evening with your students and student leaders. We will have games, food, and worship followed by an informational time on what's new at Student City. We hope to show you what your students get to participate in and experience each week during midweek and how our leaders are pointing them to Jesus. Register to join us!
We will be blessing 150 families with Thanksgiving meals! We are a generous people, just as God is generous to us. We get to go out from service and be a blessing in our community. Don't miss this beautiful opportunity to engage our community.

Ladies, please join us for a potluck dinner and time to share what God has been doing in our lives. Plan to bring a dish to share: a main course, side dish, or a dessert. Also bring a printed copy of your recipe so friends can take a picture! We will also be making bracelets to aid in Bible verse memory, so be thinking of a favorite verse for this activity. All women high-school-aged and up are welcome to attend. Childcare will be available with registration by Friday, November 7th.

Our monthly Baptism Class is designed to guide you through the biblical significance of baptism, why it’s an important step in following Jesus, and what to expect on the day of your baptism. This class is open to anyone who has questions or feels ready to take this next step in their faith journey. Join us to explore how baptism publicly declares your decision to follow Christ and become part of His family!
Will you open your driveways for a safe place for your friends, family, and neighbors to spend a fun night together? Maybe add a fire pit, hot dogs, candy, and some hot chocolate for a fun touch to a chilly night of trick-or-treating. New City will provide yard signs saying "This driveway hosted by New City". If hosting your address will be posted on the New City FB pages as "safe stops" for Halloween night. Please register your driveway so we know who is hosting!
A Night at the Carnival: Young Adult Halloween Party! Step right up and join us for a spectacular night of fun! Come in costume for a contest, play some classic carnival games, and close the night with a movie! Please bring your favorite appetizer or Halloween themed finger food/treat! Please register and we will provide you with the address.
Ladies, this is for you! Are you having trouble creating space and margin to spend time in God's word? Let's abide, pray, and seek the Lord's face together. This will be a time for us to come together to have a set time and space, to sit, and be with Jesus. There will not be any teaching or study guides. Bring your Bible, a journal, some headphones, and your favorite pen! This group was formed with all busy ladies in mind, to help create space and margin in building a healthy rhythm of abiding. No childcare available.
Following the football games Friday Night, October 24th, High School students join us for some late night fun back at New City Church! We will have your favorite late night snacks, games, and students will share testimonies! We will start @ 10pm with food, invite your friends, we will see you then! Please let us know if you are coming by registering so we can plan for food by October the 22nd!

Join the young adult men for an overnight camping trip designed to help us disconnect from our screens and reconnect with God and each other.
We're heading to Woodridge Primitive Park at Clinton Lake for a classic fall campout. This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the crisp autumn air, build genuine friendships, and spend some intentional time in God's creation. Whether you're a seasoned camper or have never slept in a tent before, you are welcome.

When: Friday, October 3rd (arrive in the evening) to Saturday, October 4th, 2025 (depart in the afternoon).
Where: Woodridge Primitive Park, Clinton Lake, Lawrence, KS.
What: A night of camping, a bonfire, great food, hiking, fellowship, and a time of devotion.
This trip is about more than just camping; it's about building brotherhood, having meaningful conversations around the fire, and taking a moment to breathe and listen to what God has for us.
