Ladies, join us as we continue the conversations from the Women's Conference (September 25-26) around the fire. There will be time for you to share testimonies of what God is doing in your life, and an opportunity to share what God taught you through the Women's Conference. Come hungry... the women's ministry team will provide chili for a chili contest! Please bring a folding chair if you can. Childcare will be provided with registration. Join us for our Fall Church Work Day as we work together to prepare our church grounds for the season!

We'll be:

Cutting back bushes and flowers

Raking leaves

Picking up sticks and debris

Trimming and cleaning landscape beds

Taking care of other outdoor beautification projects around the church

Whether you can stay for an hour or the whole two hours, your help will make a big difference. There are tasks for all ages and skill levels, so everyone is welcome!

Please bring work gloves, rakes, pruning shears, leaf blowers, or any other yard tools you have. Pizza and drinks will be provided.

We’re planning to do a prayer walk at Maple Hill New City on October 3rd from 5–7 PM. The plan is to have groups of no more than four people walking designated routes and praying over the community and the city.

If you have a New City shirt, wear it! Other than that, all that’s required is a smiling face and a heart ready to pray.

Young Adults! Football season is back. With it brings fantasy football. Join us for the start of our fantasy football league. Whether you are hardcore, casual or just looking to hang out you are welcome!

Midweek kickoff August, 19th! Students join us at 6pm-8pm, to kickoff Wednesday nights! We will eat some food, worship, have small groups, and have some fun together. Following this week we will get back to our normal midweek schedule of 4pm-6pm to meet up after school for food, open gym, and hanging in the student room before service at 6pm. 

Starting Point is your opportunity to find out about all things New City. We spend time eating together, getting to know each other, asking questions, and listening to what makes New City different. We will discuss our Vision, Mission and Values as well as introduce our staff, and you get to ask your questions to us. Please register to assure for childcare and lunch.

Come serve with us at Joy Meadows for Second Saturday! Second Saturday is a monthly gathering for all foster, adoptive, and kinship families. This is a great opportunity to make the caregivers feel connected, encouraged, and supported while children engage in all the fun, outdoor activities. This Second Saturday is the back-to-school event with lots of FREE STUFF for foster families to prepare for the new school year. LAKE DAY ALERT! 

Young Adults- Summer is here, so let's make some waves! Join us for a classic afternoon of lake swimming, sand volleyball, and a backyard BBQ. Burgers, dogs, sides and drinks will be provided! Come join us on Saturday, July 25th, 1-6pm at a lake near Sophie and Jack Kelly's home. The address will be provided after registration!

Are you currently serving or would like to serve on a ministry team? Gather with the ministry team and leaders for lunch, encouragement, and to grow in your leadership ability. Childcare is provided for 2nd grade and below. Kids older than 2nd grade may accompany their adult to the meeting.

The City of Shawnee puts on an event with food trucks, live music, bounce houses, yard games, vendors, activities for kids, AND fireworks at the end of the night called PARKED. We get to partner with them by sponsoring the bounce houses and yard games area and running that for the event. Bounce houses and yard games will run until 8:00pm weather permitting and then will be taken down so we can all enjoy the fireworks together.

This event is great to come out too, hang out with our neighbors, engage in meaningful conversations, and invite them to New City Church if they don't yet have a church home.

A summer hang for all middle school students and leaders! Bring some friends, crush some s'mores around a firepit and grow closer to each other.

Join us to watch USA’s first game of the World Cup — kicking off a summer of soccer! Come on over to the Yngsdal house at 7pm, the game kicks off at 8! We’ll provide a few snacks, please bring your own drinks! Register on the app or in the YA event group & we’ll get you the address! 

Ladies, join us for a beautiful evening in the garden, hosted by Sherri Thomas. We will have a devotion, delicious food, and you’ll be able to build your own bouquet to take home! Invite a friend, and bring a lawn chair if possible. Please note, this event is off campus, and will not have childcare available.

Join us for Church on the MAINSTAGE at Old Shawnee Days. Old Shawnee Days is a 4 day festival full of bands, carnival rides, food trucks and tents, and more! We love being in our city and making it better, and we are blessed with this opportunity to have a service in our community on June 7 at 10:30 AM. 

Come support our Cheese Fries tent Friday-Sunday as you and friends or family enjoy a day at the festival! 

On the 5th Sunday of the month, families are invited to stay after church for a relaxed and fun time together! This special children’s ministry event is a chance to connect with other families and teachers while enjoying simple, joyful activities with your kids. Drop in and choose what works for your family—play games, make crafts, watch a kid-friendly movie, or enjoy some treats together. There’s no pressure or schedule, just a welcoming space to build relationships, laugh, and spend meaningful time as a church family. All Kid City families are welcome!

Fifth grade student's official move up day! On May 31st, the 5th grade students will begin attending the Middle School Sunday service every Sunday. Middle School service takes place during 10:45 AM service in the student room. This is a big and exciting step, and we can’t wait to welcome them as they continue growing in their faith and community.

Come join us as we kick off the summer!! Summer is full of opportunities for adventure. We want to start that off right. Whether you just graduated from high school, finished a long semester, or are already in the work force, join us at Shawnee's firepit for food, music & games. 

Students join us for our annual all campus student gathering May 27th @ 6pm! We will take time to eat food, worship together, and then have breakouts over different topics! The breakouts will be a time for you hear content on a specific topic and discuss how it applies to your life. We will finish around 830pm but you are welcome to hang out till 9pm!
